Pop Star, Olamide Named The Hottest Artiste In Nigeria

Urban music and lifestyle channel, MTV Base has named rave of the moment, Olamide 'Badoo' Adedeji has its Hottest artiste in Nigeria for the year 2015.

Olamide was announced the hottest artiste for the year 2015 following a two day intense debate the panel on the MTV Base TV special #BaseNaijaHottestArtist, which includes popular broadcaster, Olisa Adibua, DJ Spinall, Omalicha, Do2dtun, Shade Ladipo, Osagie Alonge and and VJ Ehiz.

Earlier in the year, Olamide released a joint album with Phyno entitled '2 Kings'. Few weeks ago, he also dropped his fifth studio album christened 'Eyan Mayweather' which has received positive reviews.

Speaking on the announcement, Olamide said, "It's a great feeling to know that my work has made so much impact on Nigerians and i'm humbled by this announcement. Thank you MTV Base."

Pop star, Wizkid was named in second position while HKN gang frontline act, Davido clinched the third spot.

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) says it will clampdown on commercial motorcycle operators on the AYA-Nyanya road on Monday. Chairman, FCT Ministerial Taskteam on Traffic Management, Mr Ikharo Attah made the disclosure in a statement, on Sunday in Abuja. Attah disclosed that the operation would commence on Monday, March 2, adding that any motorcycle impounded during the exercise would not be released to anyone. According to him, the rate at which commercial motorcycle operators ply the road has reached an alarming proportions. ” While they are permitted to operate at Nyanya and Karu, they are not expected to reach Abacha barracks and AYA in Asokoro District ”.
